Desi is a handsome young adult male Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix found as a stray on Phillips Road. He weighs 24.5 lbs and is a bit shy but a good boy. He is tri color with some merle. Was good with the cats and the person who found him said great with her kids.

ID No. 207. Picked up on 7/9/14 Adoption date is 7/12/14. Available to rescue 7/12/14 at 10:30m. Expected Euthanize date is 7/23/14

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption. Rescues are allowed to pull dogs on the day after they are put up for adoption. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption, and on the 6th day is available to rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility.  There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available.
The current adoption fee is $71 which includes the dogs spay or neuter, Rabies vaccination, and Distemper/Parvo vaccination at a local vet. .  Dogs are given 2 weeks to find a new home and due to limited space and resources are given a two week euthanasia date on intake.
