Raphael Labrador Retriever Mix Murray, KY

Raphael is an outgoing puppy surrendered by his owner. He weighed 6.6 lbs. on 6/28/14. He is current on all puppy shots and has been wormed. He is being socialized with both children and adults. He is doing great with other dogs. He is currently in foster care, easy to handle, and likes to be held. His foster Mom is working on his housetraining and he is doing well with crate training. He is fond of women, has learned to sit, and the command "leave it". He loves his toys and enjoys playing whenever possible! He is spending time both in and outside and will probably be a large dog when grown.
If you have the time and love to bring Raphael into your home, please fill out an application. Our puppy donation fee is $175 with $75 being refunded after proof of neuter at about 6 months of age.


 
Dog Adoption Guidelines:
 

You must fill out an application to be considered for adoption. You can fill out an application at www.forthepets.org/adoption.htm or email to humanesociety@murray-ky.net for an application.
It is not a "first come" process; we try to "match" the dog with the family for a FOREVER home. We process all applications at once and take the dog off the site, place on adoption pending status until a decision is made. If a suitable home is not found, the dog returns to active status.
The dog adoption process can take about two weeks; we are a small group of volunteers who have full time jobs.
All of our dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges, unless otherwise specified.
We do not fly or ship our dogs due to heat/cold concerns and safety issues. If you are willing to fly out AND fly the dog back in the cabin (size restrictions) with you, that would be considered.
If you apply to adopt a dog and are chosen, you must come to Murray, KY to pick up the dog and fill out the paperwork in person.
We do adopt out-of-state, but we do not transport.
We can't provide individual "meet and greet" sessions for each applicant. If chosen to adopt, you will have time to visit with the dog before signing any paperwork and will not be committed to adopt if you choose not to at that time.
