Meet "Thelma" She is a adorable Yorkie- Poodle mix (Yorkie-poo) Thelma is spayed,current on all vaccines and micro-chipped & heartworm negative.Meet Thelma. She's a happy girl 1 to 2 years old saved from a high kill shelter in CA who loves playing with her foster sisters, chewing on her deer antler, going for walks and snuggling on the couch. Thelma's breed mix is considered low to non-shedding and a relatively low maintenance coat requiring occasional grooming. She is a goofy, fun little dog who when extra happy and playful makes cute barks and noises talking to her foster sisters and human companions. She also has the cutest; what we call "Elvis smirk" you may be able to spot it in her photos. Thelma can be a little shy at first with new people, but seems good with both women and men.Thelma does well when introduced to new dogs, and does well on leash as when meeting new people and dogs. She will make a great walking companion. She is moderate to higher activity level with some resourceful climbing and foot work abilities. She is not a hyper dog though. We think she would do best with a fenced yard to play in and another dog companion or regular play dates or dog sitter/doggie day care schedule, especially if you are away for longer than seven hours a day. Thelma is house trained, pad trained and has even alerted with the potty bells on occasion at her foster home. She is also crate trained and we recommend crating during the day when your away due to her adventurous nature. This adoption fee will also go towards helping many of our rescued dogs who are in desperate need of surgeries, dental and teeth extractions, hernias, cherry eye removals, medications and boarding fees.
