UPDATE 7/12: Chestnut has been at the pound for almost a month. This young guy needs more attention, and outside time than he can possibly get at the pound. Imagine being stuck in a cage, about 23 hours a day, 7 days a week, for week after week. Chestnut sits by his cage door, and you can just see the desire in his eyes when people walk by, hoping they will choose him to take outside, or even better...home. Give Chestnut a chance, please visit him today. Release date 6/19. Chestnut is an owner surrender, and already neutered. This young, handsome dog needs an active family. Chestnut would love someone who could take him for long walks, or even a good run! He's a friendly dog, sits when you ask him to. He has some energy, and needs plenty of exercise and playtime. Please give Chestnut a chance, he's so unhappy at the pound. $86.00 fee includes OH license, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, Hw testing, Worming and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. All dogs will be spayed/neutered before leaving the pound unless other arrangements are made to have your dog fixed elsewhere and approved by the warden. Microchipping is available for an additional $ 20.00 and an e-collar may be purchased for $ 10.00. Because most of our dogs were picked up as strays, we have no knowledge of any behavior or health issues. Stray dogs are held for 72 hours before being placed for adoption.
