Miracles do happen and microchips work! Louie was adopted from us in July of 2014, only to get lost in Worcester shortly after being adopted. In spite of many flyers being posted and a large volunteer effort to find him, he was not found. On 5/26 our manager got a call from the Sterling Animal Shelter saying they had him. The microchip we implanted prior to placing him for adoption was registered to the Shelter and the staff at the Sterling Shelter found it when they scanned him!

Louie is an immensely lovable cat and a volunteer favorite. At approximately 3 years old this handsome boy seems to be a perfect cat for anyone. The woman that rescued him said he is playful, let her brush out his tangles and was always sure to let her know when it was dinner time. He was too passive for her cats who bullied him, but would do well with other mellow cats. We are happy to have him back and are looking forward to finding him the perfect home. He is neutered, up-to-date on all vet care, and thankfully -- he is microchipped!

The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers and all visits to the Shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to meet you. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, combo testing and spaying/neutering when old enough.
