Meet Kozak

May 10, 2014 - Introducing Kozak!

Introducing Kozak, the coolest little dude you're ever going to meet. Kozak weighs in an just over 10 pounds so he's on the smaller side for an IG. He can fold himself into the smallest little ball and he loves to bury himself in blankets and sofa cushions so you have to be very careful to check that he's not tucked away before you sit down. He loves it when you tuck him inside your coat so he can snuggle with you when he gets too chilly on a walk.

But don't let his size fool you. Kozak has a huge personality. He's a charmer and he'll win your heart right away. He loves to snuggle and he's generous with his fantastic hugs. He loves to sleep in bed with his people and curls up under the covers at your side. He's a very good sleeper and won't wake you up at night.

Kozak did a month of hard time in the Canyon City Correctional Complex (yep, he went to prison!) where he lived with an inmate in their cell and learned some neat tricks and manners. For the rest of his life he will get free training help from the program which has a branch in Denver.

Kozak is a professional fetch and tug-of-war player. He's a clown and will keep you endlessly amused with his playful antics.

He's super charismatic. Kozak is friends with everyone he meets. His curiosity sometimes gets him in trouble so he needs his humans to be "in charge". He needs someone who will maintain his training by practicing his tricks with him a couple times a day.

He can roll over, come, sit, stay, lay down, crawl, jump through a hoop, heel, and fall over dead when you shoot him with your finger and yell "BANG".

Kozak is good with kids but because of his small size he needs a home with older kids. He also needs a home with a pet door. He's very good about using a pet door and he will ring a bell when he wants to go potty outside but he's not able to hold it for long and he's not good with puppy pads.

Kozak has had some spinal issues, these could result in long term care and special needs as he ages. He is currently recovered and healthy. But should be monitered as he ages.

Kozak is an amazing little guy who is waiting patiently for you to find him!
