Meet Athena

Athena is a gorgeous 3-4 yr old blonde shepherd who came to us a stray and was never claimed. One of our wonderful volunteers recognized her as a recent resident of the West Seneca Animal Shelter where she also volunteers and did a little research to see if we could track down her owner. Unfortunately, after tracking down her former owner, said owner claimed she sold the dog recently but did not have a name or address for her new owners. That's ok though, we are now going to find Athena a new home and new owners who will cherish her and love her forever and never lose her! Besides being absolutely gorgeous in person, Athena is a typical shepherd and very intelligent. Looks and beauty all rolled into one! We suspect she may be an escape artist in the yard (3 trips to shelters in a few months!), so we recommend watching her in the yard and having a secure area if she's off leash. Athena seems fine with other dogs and is an all around sweetheart. Come meet this sweetie ASAP!
