Meet Zorro
ZORRO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Poor Zorro has found his way back to the rescue after the devastating loss of his best friend and owner, Rich. Zorro is grieving the loss of his person and needs to find a new home. A big thank you to new BBBR Foster Parent Christa for caring for Zorro in the meantime. Zorro is approximately five (5) years old, neutered, doggy friendly and so very charming. Are you Zorro’s new human to provide him the safety and closure he needs in this very confusing and devastating time?

**Please note this post is from 2014. The rescue has been informed that Rich did great things with Zorro and Zorro is very well trained now.
Zorro is well behaved. He's very quiet, calm and I've only heard him bark, maybe twice, since I've had him. He is house trained and LOVES his crate! It's his "safe zone." He does pull a bit on the leash at the beginning of the walk because he is excited to go, however after a few minutes he settles down. He's very curious and likes to explore his surroundings with me by his side. Zorry is great meeting new people but new "things"/"objects" sometimes scare him. He doesn't like baths or his nails done, but with treats and hugs, he survives. He is learning obedience commands and although, he's not too interested in toys or playing, he trains easily with soft treats (he loves beggin strips and hotdogs). He has good manners, doesn't jump on or bark at people. He needs a strong but gentle owner to help him overcome his fears of new things. Zorro loves his belly scratched and to lay his head on your lap for attention. He would do best in a home with older/teenage kids and without cats or small animals. He does well with most well socialized, mature dogs, as he's not much of a player. He is a good boy who'd like a quieter home and be near you.
