Zander Schnauzer Miamisburg, OH

Hi there. My name is Zander



I am a little 6 year old Parti mini Schnauzer. Up until about a year ago my life was not so good. At the time I didn't know any different because it had always ben that way. I was stuffed in a small cage with a lot of other schnauzers. We were only taken out to breed when our owner needed us.



I never knew the feel of loving hands or cuddling, or toys or treats. Then one day an angel from Schnauzer Rescue of Cincinnati/Fl stopped by and picked my up along with my friends and we were taken to the Animal Ark in Cincinnati. I was put in a big kennel with my sister, but even though everyone that came to see me wanted to love on me I was so scared that I would not let them touch me.



Then one day my future foster mom came to see me and she held me even though I was scared and tried to get away. She took me home and gave me a bath...Boy did I need that. It was refreshing but I was scared the whole time. But she said I looked and smelled much better.



I have been with my foster mom and dad for a while now and I really like getting loved on. I like to get my head scratched and my back rubbed and scratched. I know to get in my cage to eat because my foster sister is food aggressive. I still don't like to be picked up or held on your lap but we are working on that.

Treat time is really great. I not too much into toys though...I do love to jump up and down because I can...I also love to run because I can..



I do wear a belly band in the house because I still have not stopped going in the house. I go when I am outside but I have gone in a cage for so long it is hard for me to change my habits. My foster mom works with me all the time and I am sure I will eventually get the hang of it.



I live in Springboro Ohio with my foster dad and mom and 3 fosters sisters and one foster brother. I also have cousins that come to visit and I get along with them just fine.
