Meet Greta

Adopted 11/12/2022. $50

My, oh my! It just takes one look at this girl to know she is simply adorable. Greta is a beautiful Russian Blue mix. She has a thick, plush grey coat, chubby cheeks and eyes that'll melt your heart. At approximately 11-13 years, Greta is at the perfect age. She's gotten the kitten stage out of her, but has plenty of energy, life and love left to give. Her favorite activities are snuggling, taking nice, long cat naps and wandering around. Her previous home reports that she loves the outdoors, so she requires a strict family that'll keep her solely inside, for her safety.

Greta takes a couple days to warm up to new places and get acclimated (don't we all?), but once she does - she makes herself right at home. Greta does well with non-dominant cats, but her ideal home wouldn't have other pets, so she can be most comfortable. She does great with people of all ages....and she really loves the ones that'll scoop her up and give her lots of love and attention.

Unfortunately, Greta was front paw declawed by her original home. While she has shown good litter box habits the last few months, she needs a family that's willing to accommodate to her. At times, she prefers the use of a puppy pad within her litterbox rather than litter. At other times, she has been known to mistake bedding and laundry as her litterbox, so a family that is patient, understanding and willing to work with their surroundings to accommodate her is required. A home without carpet and/or a set up separate from cloth furniture would be ideal to set Greta and her new family up for success.

Greta also has a history of kidney issues and it's recommended she be started on a prescription K/D food. At this time, her taste buds aren't quite in agreeance with the vet's recommendation, but has found that Blue Buffalo sensitive stomach is right up her alley. She also prefers to drink her water out of a fountain, but lots of water is exactly what her kidneys need, so her wish is our command! Greta's new family should be prepared to monitor her kidneys as she ages and be committed to providing top notch veterinary care when or if the need arises.

Adopting a senior pet is extremely rewarding and that satisfaction can only be increased when you choose a special girl like Greta. While we understand her situation is unique and not every home is ready to welcome her, we promise that she is worth it. She was not given a fair start to her life and deserves nothing more than people who will understand her.

Greta's adoption fee has been sponsored. Please email us if you think you can provide her with the loving home she deserves.
