Brandy Basset Hound & Dachshund Mix Mobile, AL

Brandy's owner had to move to an assisted living apartment, so Brandy wound up at the shelter. She is a wonderful pet, housebroken, companionable, loves children and gets along with other dogs (does not like cats). Knows basic commands, loves to go outside and for walks and car rides. She is certainly a Basset, maybe mixed with dachshund, considerably smaller than a standard Basset hound. She is about 4 years old and pretty chill. She is great with children and doesn't seem to have any weird neuroses. Walked out on a pier and explored the crab traps, not freaked out by water at the beach (although she can't swim well, of course). Took a nap under the dining room table while present-unwrapping chaos unfurled around her. Comes when called and is fine with other dogs as long as food is not involved, she could use a little work on food/treat aggressiveness.
