Meet Wyatt and Felicity

Wyatt is big, sweet, goofy, polar bear. Okay he's a rabbit, but he was a large baby, just over 10 lbs. He was a smaller version of himself when he was rescued by Animal Control along with 45 other rabbits brought to the Front Street Shelter June, 2013. Sacramento House Rabbit Society partnered with the shelter to care for all of these rabbits and help find them permanent homes.

Wyatt acted a little shy in his cage at the shelter, but whenever we move him to an exercise pen he let us know how happy he was to be out running and playing. His favorite toy was a hay tube he thought he was hiding in, but his big body never fit! We finally found a foster home for Wyatt and he we are told he is like a big puppy because he is so happy to be in a big, open space that is safe instead of a little cage at the shelter. Now he is in heaven because he shares his space with his lovely Felicity who was rescued from the same confiscation. Bonded pairs are beautiful to watch snuggle.

If you would like a big bunny hug from Wyatt, please contact us. Wyatt and Felicity won't attend regular adoption days unless there is a request by someone to meet this special pair.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered or will be scheduled to be altered upon adoption (age permitting) and have been introduced to litter box training. All rabbits are to be adopted to indoor homes only.

Sacramento House Rabbit Society often brings these shelter rabbits to monthly adoption events at local Petcos. This is a great opportunity to meet many adoptable rabbits in one location with rabbit experts available to answer questions.

Current bunny parents are encouraged to bring their rabbits to adoption clinics if they are interested in adopting a companion rabbit. Your rabbit must be spayed or neutered to be eligible to meet an adoptable rabbit. HRS volunteers will be happy to help your bunny through that feisty first date.
