Prince George and Lady Penelope Jane Rabbit New Zealand Mix Sacramento, CA

Prince Georgie is a special boy who arrived at the City Shelter in June after being confiscated from a terrible family that kept him and more than 50 other rabbits outside in the full sun during a heat wave. He was just a baby and adjusted well to his new air conditioned surroundings where volunteers came to clean his cage and give him play time in an excise pen indoors every day where he was finally safe.

He grew into a lovable, plush, polar bear and is about 10 lbs. of hugs! He acted a little shy at adoption events, but after seeing how much he loved play time at the shelter we knew he would flourish in his new foster home. He does acrobatics in his giant space to show his delight now. If you have arms that can stretch around this big boy to give him the love he enjoys, come meet him at one of our upcoming adoption events.

Update (7/06/15): Prince George has fallen in love with his neighbor, Lady Penelope Jane, so both rabbits will need to be adopted together as a bonded pair.


 
All rabbits are spayed/neutered (age permitting) and litter box trained. All rabbits are to be adopted to indoor homes only.

Current bunny parents are encouraged to bring their rabbits to adoption clinics if they are interested in adopting a companion rabbit. Your rabbit must be spayed or neutered to be eligible to meet one of our fosters. HRS volunteers will be happy to help your bunny through that feisty first date.
