Abby came from a commercial breeder who got in over her head. With too many dogs, she surrendered a few to HEART. Hopefully she will continue to reduce the number of dogs in her care until she is no longer overwhelmed with too many animals.
Abby was not properly socialized as a puppy and young dog, so she is a bit skittish with strangers. She will, however, bond with her caretakers and can show a spirited and loving nature. She has learned to walk on a leash and would do well with a daily walk and regular adventure trips for socialization and to build confidence.
