Cora is now available for adoption! Cora was a feedlot rescue we brought in last March 2013. Since that time...she has grown in so many ways this past year! A year ago...no one could touch a hair on her body. We were not allowed to doctor a leg wound that lay open and infested with fly larvae. It took several months at an intensive equine boot camp (of sorts) to get her to the point of allowing someone to halter and touch her. She has had a leg wound debridement and skin grafts since and is now healthy enough for spring training/round penning. She still retains some of her deepset angst from some long ago experience...but with the right owner, handler she can become all that a girl could dream of!! She is a drop dead gorgeous buckskin quarterhorse standing 15hh. Solid foundation type mare about 10 years old. We believe she had been a working/show horse before somekind of injury ended her up at auction and a kill buyers feedlot.
