Meet Thimble (adopted)

Thimble is a dear, gorgeous older kitten (6 months) with a beautiful face, extra-silky fur, pretty pink nose, and lovely tabby-like coloring that's a combination of white and many shades of grey. One look at her and you can tell she is quite an elegant little lady, with a gentle soul. Even though she's still a baby, she has a refined, polite nature and carries herself in a dainty way. Thimble is sweet and cuddly, but she doesn't like being picked up. She likes to be the one to make the first move instead, such as starting out napping on the couch a little bit away from you but then comes over and crawls on your lap and cuddles. She certainly loves to be pet and to nuzzle and snuggle. She loves sleeping with you too-- for an extra treat let her hang out in her all time favorite spot: under your legs pretending she's camping in a "blanket tent." Thimble also loves to play energetically like any other kitten does: chasing things, wrestling with her cat friend Alice, and batting at toys.

Young kittens do best in a home with another young feline companion so if you do not have an existing kitty, please consider adopting a pair of kittens. We require that she be adopted into a home where she will not be an only cat.

Alice and Thimble are currently living at the Petsmart in San Carlos and can be seen there every day during store hours (1225 Industrial Road, San Carlos 650-632-1605.) You can fill out an application there (or send us one online -- http://wondercatrescue.org/adoption-process/)

Wonder Cat Rescue is not a shelter, but a team of caring foster homes and volunteers who open our own homes to needy cats until permanent placement can be found. By adopting a cat from Wonder Cat Rescue, you're making a commitment to provide love, care, and medical treatment for the life of the cat, which can be up to 20 years or more. Adopting a cat is a serious decision, but a very rewarding one!

We make every effort to make the best possible match when placing our cats/kittens with new families. Once you submit an application you will be contacted if the particular cat/kitten you are interested in is a good match for you. Many times kittens have several interested parties and you will be contacted if/when a meeting is appropriate. Each adoptive homes is screened carefully, and a lot of support is given to make sure the adoption is a success.

When cats have a 'pending' banner, it means we are no longer accepting applications, and he/she will be placed in their forever home soon. Sorry we do not ship under any circumstances. The required adoption donation is $125.00. This includes the following veterinary services unless otherwise stated in the adoption contract: vet exam, spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV testing, indoor-cat vaccinations, flea treatment, anti-parasite medications and microchip. The value of the care averages $400.00 per healthy animal, and does not include food and other direct care supplies. A large portion of our animals also receive medical services above and beyond this amount.
