Meet Teddy
Teddy came to us in October of 2013 and when our vet checked him we found out he is FIV positive. He has been very healthy and with good care could remain so for a long time. He is a big and friendly guy who loves toys, lounging on cat trees and just hanging out. While he gets along with cats and children, he hates dogs and can't live in a home with them. He spent many happy months in a foster home where he loved to snuggle up on a bed or lounge by the sliding door to so some bird and squirrel watching. He recently returned to the shelter because he and the resident dog have gotten into a number of spats and it was getting difficult to keep them both safe.
We have placed several FIV positive cats that have gone on to live long and healthy lives and are hoping this won't stop Teddy from finding a loving home. There is no adoption fee for Teddy. He would be an excellent companion for another FIV positive cat. He is approximately 3 years old.
To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out our Cat and Kitten Adoption Application.
The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers and all visits to the Shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to meet you. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $75. Our kitten adoption fee (cats under 5 months old) is $125 for a single kitten or $200 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, combo testing and spaying/neutering when old enough.
