Meet Liberty (LOCAL)

Meet the incredible Liberty! Liberty (Libby for short) has been nothing short of a miracle. Libby was seized from a home in TN where there were quite a few dogs with very little supervision. Liberty and another dog got into a scuffle (presumably over Liberty's puppies who were 1 week old at the time). Liberty was seized, clinging to life, with her babies in tow and brought to the local animal shelter. Thankfully, one of our volunteers quickly saved this little family and they are on to their new lives!

Liberty is approximately 4 years old and is sweet as pie. She has a gorgeous heart on her face which is indicative of her personality. She wants nothing more than to be held and loved on. She has been such a wonderful mom, and now it's her turn to find a home. Libby has a low energy level and is content to go for a walk or sunbathe on the porch. She makes the funniest little grunting noises when she rolls over for belly rubs and even twirls like a ballerina while waiting for dinner! Libby would do well as an only dog.

Libby is house trained, and crate trained but she would most likely do fine loose in the house. Libby weighs approx. 45lbs and is spayed and has completed heart worm treatment. Libby is fostering with a trainer currently and is working on her social skills and ongoing basic training. She is doing remarkably well with this and will come with extensive post-adoption support from her foster/trainer to ensure a smooth transition.
