**Julia Ann has been in our rescue since 2013. Her adoption fee is now only $35. Please apply today! She would love a real home! A forever home!**

UPDATE 7/2/14: Julia Ann and her littermate Christopher were adopted together in March, 2014, but unfortunately they had to be returned due to unforeseen circumstances that prevented their new family from being able to keep them. In the short time they had them, there were front-paw declawed. Their foster mom said they are both very friendly, but Julia Ann is timid... who wouldn't be after having her life disrupted again? She loves to be petted, especially when laying up in her cat tree! They are about 15 months now - not quite a year and a half - as of July 2, 2014. Weight is probably at least 12 pounds - they are both good sized kitties and she is pretty solid and tall for a female!

Adoption Fee is $50.00. Julia Ann is VERY BONDED with her brother, Christopher, and we prefer they be adopted together. $100 adoption fee for both.

UPDATE 3/2/14... Julia Ann is now about 11 months old. She has grown into a beautifully marked Tortoiseshell, and altho friendly, she does have the more aloof personality characteristic of the Torties! She is quite bonded to her brother Christopher, which is kinda sweet to witness. She is often times found cuddled up as close as can be to him! They were raised in a foster home with dogs, so if you are looking for a pair of kitties who are dog friendly, you may have just found one - or two!!

Julia Ann ... Domestic Medium hair... approx. 4 1/2 - 5 months in Sept. 2013

Julia Ann and her littermate Christopher were kittens who were caught in a live trap on a cat lovers property in Waterloo, Iowa; thought to be feral, they were just scared and tamed down quite quickly!  Her foster mom says she is a very sweet little girl, a typical playful kitten who gets along well with the other foster cats in the home as well.  She has the beautiful traditional Tortoiseshell coat, with rich orange and tan highlights in her mostly black coat.  Some Torties can have a bit of a 'tortie-tude,' but this little sweetheart isn't one of them!

She has been completely vetted, tested negative for FeLK/FIV and has been treated for parasites.

Julia Ann's adoption fee is $35.00. (we have had her since July 2013, lower cat adoption fee so we can try and finally get her a real home)

Kittens are always best adopted in pairs for they have a loving companion to snuggle and play with for a lifetime! Julia Ann and Christopher are purrfect examples of loving littermates... so if you have room in your heart, your home and your budget, please consider adopting two kittens together into your family!

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
