Tully - ADOPTED!! Border Collie & Beagle Mix Richmond, VA

Tully looks to be a "Borgle." AKA...that's a designer name for what we think his lineage might be... Border Collie x Beagle. So if you like beagles and border collies Tully offers you the best of both breeds. We estimate his age to be between 3- 5 years old and he is around 40 pounds. His build is more short and stout like a Beagle with markings that are truly Border Collie - black with a very nice white chest blaze and white tipped feet. Very cute! He has an easy to manage short coat.

Besides being a handsome boy, Tully has a fabulous personality. He is one of those dogs that will be the envy of all the neighbors with his sparkling disposition. The word "sweet" just doesn't do him justice. Throw in the words friendly, cheerful, lively, outgoing, fun, affectionate, devoted, etc. and you have a pretty accurate description of Tully. He is going to make an absolutely fabulous family companion.

Tully came from a high kill shelter in North Carolina where he was pulled on his day of doom. The expression in his eyes seemed to acknowledge that he sensed his fate - and it pulled on the heart strings of many rescuers when the "urgent rescue needed" bulletin was sent out. He was soon pulled from his kennel and sent on his way up north.

Tully is now living with his foster family on a farm outside of Richmond, VA. He is happy and living life with gusto while he awaits his forever family. Tully spends his days in a 3 acre fenced field where he can romp and socialize with 4 canine companions. But, when you come home to Tully it is all about his human! He becomes a one dog welcome party with an explosion of tail wags and other greetings. He is one happy dog! He enjoys spending his evenings indoors with his family where he settles in and becomes content to curl up under the table or by the fire with both his canine and feline friends. He gets along beautifully with his cat buddies. Tully will make an amazing family pet.

He has learned his name and is recalling when called. But, to be on the safe side he should have a home with a fenced yard if in a city. He is a great candidate for someone who uses dog parks for exercise and socialization or enjoys walks in the neighborhood. Tully is great on a leash.

Tully is up-to-date on vaccinations; is neutered; and, has been treated for heartworm. He is spunky, healthy and ready for his new home.
