Joesy Tortoiseshell Anchorage, AK

Joesy is a very beautiful short hair torti with GORGEOUS green eyes that was surrendered to us by her owner. She is very sweet and LOVES attention.  She is very much a lap cat and she will get extremely cuddly and lovey if you let her cuddle with you.  She will stay on your lap as long as you let her!  Joesy wants to be as close to you as possible - if you stop petting her, she likes to stick her head in your armpit so you don't stop.  She really enjoys having her back end scratched as well - she can't get enough!   When she first came to the SPCA, she was a little shy, but she has really shown us how nice and sweet she is.  Joesy loves treats and will do little tricks in order to get them.  She is also quite playful despite her age, and she loves laser pointers and sting.  Joesy is very mellow and quiet.  She does have a strong purr motor but she doesn't meow - instead, she barks!  She is an older cat so she needs a home where someone is willing to take extra special care of her, but it's definitely worth it!  Joesy gets along great with kids (as long as they are gentle!) but does prefer to be the only animal in the house.   Joesy is waiting patiently at the AK SPCA for someone to take her to her furrever home.
 
 
Age: - 12 - Alaska S.P.C.A. cats are spayed/ neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. We implement a 24-hour waiting period and a 3-day trial adoption. The adoption fee for cats - $125 - covers all the costs involved in caring for the animals we house, which includes: feeding, exams, vaccinations, medications,spaying or neutering and processing.
