5/9 update: Betty wants to break out of her shyness so bad. She has moments of tail wagging and smiles and then she sort of catches herself and becomes more reserved. She is good with other dogs and has no aggression issues. Lived with an elderly handicapped woman and has been around children as well, no issues. Nike, Emma, Bentley, Trouble, Brody, Maggie, Betty and Toby all share a play yard together


Bio: Owner surrendered beagle mom and her 4 adult offspring due to neighbor threatening to harm/shoot. All lived outdoors but thankfully are heartworm negative. They have just arrived so we don't have detailed temperament info on them yet.

Mom is Jenny, HW neg, rabies vaxed, already spayed, demodectic, going to foster home.


Jack, HORRIBLE demodectic, taking him and Jenny home with me. HW neg, no vax due to mange being so bad.


Betty, HW neg, already spayed, rabies vaxed


Trouble, HW neg, being neutered tomorrow, rabies vaxed


Bridget, HW neg, moderate demodectic, rabies vaxed, already spayed. 


All loaded with ticks. Sweet dogs but Jack is not very social. Scared to death.


 



Please note: In most cases, the breed mix is our best guess based on the size/appearance of the dog. Most of the dogs we get are strays so their history is unknown.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery. We currently do not have the ability to cat test the pound dogs.
