Murphy Pekingese & Beagle Mix Greene, NY

We were told Murphy was 2 years old, but we think he might be a year or two older.  Murphy has the longest legs of his siblings, but only weighs 22 pounds.  He is a sweet dog, but very nervous of new things and people at first.  Once he trusts you, he is "velcro" dog and will be very loyal.  He is quite reliant on his siblings for confidence in new situations.  Not a requirement, but Murphy would probably like to be adopted along with one of his brothers (Emerson, Boomer, Spottie) or sisters (Ruby or Sissy).  They are all up for adoption and are biologically related, but not necessarily litter mates.  (Adoption fee would be 2 for 1 deal).  Their mom, Cookie, has already been adopted and is doing wonderfully in her new home by herself.  Murphy has learned many things since arriving in his current foster home on April 12 -- his new name, leash training and housetraining (he is getting reliable--he was neutered in March).  Previously, he had never worn a collar or been taken outside regularly and he has risen to the challenges.  He is super around cats and other dogs.  If you heart is open to a shy, but great little dog, please contact Kim at 607-764-8778 or e-mail renvers86@hotmail.com
