Meet Rosie Anna

Rosie Anna is a 3 year old Tree Walker Coonhound mix who thinks she is a lap dog.  She weighs approximately 56 lbs. and is full of energy.  She is blind in her right eye but that doesn't stop her from being the life of the party. She is extremely gentle and affectionate and loves attention.  Rosie does great around all dogs including those much smaller, but she doesn't  like cats.  She does well on a lead and is comfortable indoors.

Due to her energy, Rosie would probably do best with older children.  She loves to run and play so a large fenced yard would be a dream come true. After all, she is a hound and loves to follow her nose. She has lots of love and is just waiting for the right family to bless.

Rosie loves everyone and there is not an aggressive bone in this dog. She is anxious to please and learns quickly. She is currently in foster care with 4 other dogs and is doing GREAT. She plays with all of the dogs, small and large. She would do well as an only dog but would really love to have a family with another dog to play with. She rides nicely in the car and loves to go along. Currently Rosie sleeps in her crate and in the morning she sits quietly waiting for her turn to go outside. She is an awesome dog who deserves a family to love.

08/28/13 FOSTER UPDATE  – Rosie is doing well in foster care where she has been for most of the past 5 months. Don’t give the missing eye a second thought as Rosie has adapted well to having only one eye. Special Care is NOT needed. She is housebroken, crate trained, trained on the Invisible Fence Brand fence which she respects and stays in the yard, eats nicely and does not object to other dogs sharing her bowl. You can take food or toys from her without complaint from Rosie.

Rosie is very quiet in the house unless she senses a delivery person or someone approaching the house, at which time she will bark to alert you. Rosie sleeps in her crate at night and waits quietly in the morning until it is her turn to go out. It seems as if she may have not lived in the house previously but is adapting to the rules of living inside. She loves Nylabones, ropes and balls. Rosie plays with all of the dogs, 20 lbs. to 70 lbs., and would even do well with larger dogs. She likes to share the couch at night when watching TV, tolerates hugs from people and readily goes into her crate at bedtime. Please give this special girl a chance in your loving home. She deserves it and will love you forever.
