Jake Pit Bull Terrier & Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mix Bayside, NY

Jake is our adorable and delightful 1 1/2 year old, very sweet pitty. At only 46 pounds you won't mind too much when he sits in your lap which he really wants to do! Jake was rescued from one of our municipal shelters where their behaviorist gave him the best evaluation a dog can get. Jake does not get along with other dogs and he needs to be an only dog but he is adorable in every other way. “Awesome” is the word the handlers at the animal hospital where we are boarding him used. Jake is a staff favorite, everyone loves him but no one has stepped to give him the loving home he deserves. Jake is a people person and a real ladies man. Jake was an owner surrender to Animal Care and Control where we rescued him from the euthansia list. Jake's owners were in financial straits and it is believed that at some point Jake broke one of his legs and they did not have the money to fix it properly. We had Jake x-rayed and he will require some surgery for his leg. We are seeking a foster home for Jake to recover in. We will pay for the surgery as well as all of his care. Although he has a limp it does not slow him down at all. Jake gets along with people of all ages. Come meet Jake and fall in love with him just as we have.
