Meet SAMSON-Special Needs

IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more.

SAMSON NEEDED URGENT LIFE-SAVING SPECIALIZED HERNIA CARE AND HOSPITALIZATION FOR AN EQUINE BLOAT AND TORTION INVOLVING HIS SECUM. WE ARE SEEKING SPONSORS FOR THE SPECIAL-NEEDS HORSES OF YOUR CHOICE WHICH WE HAVE RESCUED WHO HAVE BEEN UNRIDEABLE OR UNADOPTABLE LIKE SAMSON. SPONSORSHIP INCLUDES CORRESPONDENCE AND UPDATES. Please contact us for more details about our sponsorship/adoption program.

SAMSON is a handsome purebred Belgian Draft Horse who was rescued on his last day from a Los Angeles County animal shelter, was confiscated by Animal Control, together with his herd buddies, who were all victims of terrible starvation and neglect. Additionally Samson was clearly abused and mistreated, evident in his shyness.

Samson, a kind and gentle giant, came a long way compared to his emaciated shelter intake photo. Samson has had multiple hospital stays and expensive emergency vet calls for sand colic (which resulted in nefro-splenic displacement/entrapment). He recovered well but it was a very close call which had resulted from eating dirt and sand when he was starving to death. However the resulting hernia on his belly then began to threaten his life and needed ongoing constant veterinary care and bandaging, especially for the abscess next to his hernia which would not heal for a long time.

We are deeply grateful for any donations to help us pay for Samson's overwhelming unpaid vet care bills which are over $15,000. We can provide names and bills of the veterinary practices to which we currently owe bills for weekly care.

If you know of any individuals or businesses who love animals and horses, and would appreciate good tax deductions, please tell them about Samson's plight. He required continued care and needed ongoing several times a month veterinary bandaging and multiple hospitalizations.

We would be very grateful for donations/sponsorship to help with Samson's bills for veterinary care. We deeply appreciate any help you can give us with Samson.

To help with Samson's bills, please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (also our Paypal donation/sponsorship email address)
