Bear Domestic Medium Hair Mix Maple Ridge, BC

Bear came to Katie’s Place in December 2012. Bear was rescued from an apartment fire which left her previous owners homeless and unable to care for her. She is approximately 6 or 7 years old. Bear is a very pretty girl with stunning huge eyes. She is on the shy side and tends to be cautious around people she does not know. We are guessing the trauma of the fire probably left Bear with some emotional scars that will most likely disappear in the right home. Bear keeps mostly to herself and can often be found sitting up high on a shelf watching the world below her. She will need a quiet home where she can learn to trust again. It might take some time for Bear to come out of her shell but we feel strongly that the right person is out there for her. Someone who will give her security, space, and the time to heal. She is already getting braver and can be quite chatty with volunteers that she knows well - she has a delightful, very girly meow. Bear would probably do ok in a home with another cat but would probably be overwhelmed by small children. Come meet Bear. You may just be the person who brings this beauty out of her shell.
