Nikki is looking for a super special home, because she is a super special dog!

Nikki is partially blind in her left eye, probably due to an abusive past. Nikki was rescued from a high kill shelter just one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized. Somebody threw Nikki out after she had to endure a life of not so happy memories, but her rescuer could not bear to see her life ended before she had a chance to start a fresh, new, wonderful life full of treats, love and happiness!! Nikki has some anxiety issues, probably due to her past, but she is working on them with her foster mom and is on medication to help her. Due to her issues, Nikki would be best placed in a home with "No Dogs, No Cats, and No Small Children." She needs a home who will continue to work with her through obedience and socialization training, and help her build some confidence to get over her anxiety. Nikki has also been a little spoiled in her new foster home to make up for all the fun and happiness she missed out on earlier in life, so she will need some help to lose those few extra pounds she has gained!

This girl needs someone who will love her and commit to her for the rest of her life, just like she has always deserved. In return she will be your best friend and devoted companion. She will sleep at your feet and night and anytime you are up for a fun game of fetch, she is too! She loves squeaky toys and cuddle time with her people. Nikki deserves a life full of love, and she is hoping you are the person to give it to her!
