Meet Reecie! Lovey,lovey,lovey dog who was found stray near Swansboro.  Young and enjoys chasing a ball but is a really calm dog. Walks pretty well on a leash.  Can't tell you how sweet this dog is!  We guess that he is around 9 months old and will grow to be a large boy.  Please know that dogs are considered to be a puppy until they are around 2 years old and that pups are great however they require time, patience, love, and training on your part as the new owner.  Make sure you are 100% ready and committed to your new family member before you adopt. He seems good with other dogs and loves to spend time with his human friends. Please come over to the shelter and meet him for yourself. He is great and has so much joy and love to share. Reecie is awaiting his FOREVER home. Reecie is now neutered and ready for his FOREVER home.


Dogs bring so much joy to our lives but they require lots of care.  They need lots of love, exercise, training and good food along with adequate medical care.  Flea and tick prevention are important to the health of your pet.  Heartworm prevention is very important in our area.  This disease is fatal if not treated but very easily prevented with a once a month tablet.  1 mosquito bite can create heart worms so please make sure your pets get a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you their owner to provide them with a good life so please do right by them...you will receive a lifetime of joy and lots of kisses!!


The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and on Sat. 10-2.  Adopt a homeless pet and save a life.  If you can not adopt come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.
