Delilah Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Houston, TX

Delilah was found in a parking lot, injured and in need of care.  Soon, it became apparent that she was pregnant…and seven puppies, four males and three females, followed.  Delilah has an extremely strong spirit that has allowed her to remain calm and sweet, even though it was obvious that she has had a rough life so far.  Delilah is missing two toes on one of her back legs, and it seems that she once had a break that healed without medical intervention.  She limps, but does not let it get her ‘down’.  Delilah is a most positive dog.


Delilah is an excellent dog that possesses the traits most wanted in a dog.  She likes other dogs, walks on a leash, reacts well to a kennel, likes children young and old, men, women, strangers—and the list goes on.  Delilah is house trained and is working on becoming completely crate trained.  She is smart, and learned her new name in no time at all!  Being a dog, Delilah will occasionally bark.  She does not howl.
Delilah is friendly, adaptable, trainable, calm, cautious and protective.  She will be able to learn commands.  Delilah is the kind of dog you want as your lifelong companion.  When you meet her and spend time with her, you will want to take her home!
