Duncan Plott Hound Hammond, IN

Hello. The name is Duncan. I am a very unique 8 year old coonhound, but do not let my age deter you because if you keep reading you will learn I am one active, fun-loving fellow.

See, most people think I am a Weimaraner, but I am actually a color variation of the Plott Hound. I am what they call a Brindle Maltese Plott Hound. It is hard to catch in photos, but in person, you can see all the brindling under my silver/grey fur.

Not only am I handsome, I am also house trained and crate trained.
You should probably know that I can jump fences, so I will need a tie or to be walked. I absolutely LOVE swimming, which is an unusual trait for coonhounds. I also love going for walks and runs, so it is obvious I would enjoy an active family.

On the flip side, I also really enjoy snoozing in a big, comfy bed. I love snuggling with the middle schooler and high schooler in my house, and I think they like it too!

If I am being honest, it is important that I go to a home with another dog. I like dogs who are friendly, playful, and confident. If your dog is nervous or has anxiety, it makes me anxious too. And I always love a pretty girl like the English I am snuggled with in many of my photos.
