This handsome guy was new to the Pound on 10-26. Fatso was turned in by his owner along with Tony.  These two Beagles are brothers, and just were too much for the owner to handle right now.  They are very active and like to chase things.  Fatso is a bit more laid back in personality.  The owner says he is good with kids, but had killed some ducks and chickens along with the other dog.  They chase cats too unless the cat stands up to them.  Fatso is 3 1/2 yrs old, and is guessed to weigh around 35 lbs.  He tested neagtive for heartworms.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery. We currently do not have the ability to cat test the pound dogs.
