2/23 update from foster mom: Autumn is a WONDERFUL dog! She gets along great with all my dogs. She's fine with cats, too. Very friendly and affectionate. Also walks well on a leash.

December: Autumn was pulled from pound to prevent euthanasia and is now fully vetted.  Heartworm negative.


Autumn was new to the Pound on 10-23.  She is very sweet and friendly.  She also walks well on leash.  She is in Pen #2 where she is getting along great with another dog.   Picked up as a stray on McBrayer Rd.  She is guessed to be around 2 years old, and to weigh around 35-40 lbs.  Sweet and submissive  Heartworm negative.

Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery. We currently do not have the ability to cat test the pound dogs.
