Butterball Domestic Short Hair Herndon, VA

Check out this handsome guy!  He was found as a stray and turned in to the shelter, where he has been searching for a home since April.  He came to Fancy Cats for a better chance at finding a forever home, because he was getting so unhappy at the shelter.  He is about 7 years old, but don't be fooled by his age -- he LOVES to play when he has visitors, especially with the wand toy.  He is a sweet handsome boy, a little on the larger side, like a little butterball.  He is extremely loveable - wants to love and be loved. He thinks it’s cool to sit alongside or on top of his foster mom when she is on the sofa. He’s a fast runner for someone on the hefty side. Butterball loves to wake up in the morning, eat his 1/2 can of wet food and play with a favorite toy called the Cat Dancer 101.  Once he is up, he prefers someone else be up too.  Both of his foster mom's kids come down after getting dressed in the morning and talk and play a little with him while they are getting ready for school.  Butterball then likes to lay around, preferably in the office when the sun is shining in the room.  He is a very quiet cat, typically in one of the rooms we are in and he relaxes and doses. Around 2:30 he mozzies around the house and hangs around in the afternoon with the kids playing and hanging out while waiting patiently for his dinner.  At night time he is free to sleep where he chooses and for the most part it is upstairs strategically in the hallway where he can see all of the bedrooms.  He is happy when we get up at 6am to feed him, he is not lazy and does not waste his day sleeping in!   He loves to be the only animal in the house.  He loves to play with his toys: he will go over to his toy basket in the family room to show he wants to play.  Butterball is very good with the litter box, no issues. He is very smart, will learn quickly when you clap your hands a few times. Butterball is a big sweetheart and needs a home where he is the King every day.
