Nano is very attractive with his blonde hair and blue eyes.   He was an owner release because he had been allowed to develop some behaviors that were not particularly appropriate - nipping.  Once in foster, the behavior issues were substantially reduced.  Nano might require a little patience and time to adjust in transition, but he will make huge improvements; he is much more social now and even enjoys the meet and greets at PetCo.  He is a bit of a momma’s boy as he still tends to distrust men, but is making strides there too.  When he is settled in and feeling like part of a family, he is cuddly, loves to sleep on the bed, plays well with others (altho’ sometimes would like to act a bit dominate), loves toys, not a chewer, rides well and enjoys life.  He is about 2.5 years old, weighs about 11-12 pounds, can be barky sometimes, very playful and yet snuggly, has good house manners, kennel trained, would benefit from some training and can be a bit comical at times.  Nano has proven himself to be a delightful little guy who does respond to positive training and lots of love.  He would do best with a play-mate.  Transition has been stressful, so Nano really needs a life-time commitment from someone who is very patient and loving.  Give this little man a chance… you won’t regret it… we haven’t!



There is an adoption fee of $175 for small dogs and home visits are required. If you reside outside the local area there are some different requirements... personal referrals, a vet referral, an agreement to be responsible for transportation (both ways if necessary) and a commitment to returning the pet to Kitty and K-9 if the placement does not work or your situation changes where you cannot keep the pet. Depending on the circumstances, there may be other requirements. Our commitment is to these orphaned critters we rescue...we devote tons of love, time, energy and money to their rescue, medical bills and care...our goal is to find them the very best placement with a lifetime commitment.
