Bugsy Australian Shepherd & Dachshund Mix flushing, NY

Sweet little Bugsy, after seeing this beautiful boy for the first time he is small about 15-18 pounds of love. Bugsy is older, about 7 years old, a very unique looking dog a mini/toy aussie and long hair dachshund mix just the right size for an apartment but we know he would also love a home with a fenced in back yard. He loves young girls aound 10 and up, he is not keen on young children. After all these years as a family pet they decided they were allergic to him, got a non allergic dog and threw poor Bugsy into the back yard. Sometimes the kids forgot to feed him or give him water and finally the parents decided to give him to the local kill shelter who called me immediately when they discovered he was blind in one eye, his other eye is a beautiful ice blue. Our hearts went out to this little boy whose love and loyalty was paid back with cruel and abusive treatment. He is looking for a loving forever home that will give him the love and kindness he deserves. He has been fully vetted including a HW test which is negative.
