Meet George - DECEASED
The Ark of Hope does not have an adoption fee but we do ask that you make a donation to the rescue. All of the animals that come into The Ark have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Your donations are the only way that The Ark of Hope Rescue can continue to help these poor defenseless animals.
This beautiful dog is "George!" He is a German Shepherd / Husky / black Lab mix about 60 pounds. His date of birth is 04/01/2010. He is house trained, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is currently a little scared of people at first and is trying to learn to trust. He loves treats and will make up with people after he is offered doggy treats. He is ok with other dogs. He is currently rooming with his brother "Jack." His father has been adopted and his mother (standing next to Jack in the picture above) has been adopted. All four dogs were surrendered by their owner when his neighbors were dissatisfied with him having four large dogs. The only reason these dogs are looking for a new family is to keep the peace in the neighborhood between neighbors. "George" will make a great addition to a loving home that HAS A FENCED YARD (a must). Because of his initial fear Jack and George will need a 6 foot fenced yard. George does not want to live outside but in the house with a loving family. For more information on George and/or Jack or any of the other animals at The Ark of Hope Rescue go to: www.arkofhoperescue.org, under the film strip of animals click on "The Adoption Procedure" Scroll down to the bottom and click on “Dog Adoption Application.” Fill it out and attach it to an email (arkofhoperescue@yahoo.com) You will get an email confirmation when it is received . Then as soon as possible someone from The Ark will be in touch with you. Or you can call and ask for Dianne @ 301-478-3300.
