Meet Macy

CAMP CANINE DOG!!! Macy is a 2-3 year old Chow/Black Lab mix. She's a sweet cuddler who's versatile enough to nap on the bed or frolick with the other dogs and handlers as the situation calls for it. She weighs in at 35, and every pound of it is made up of sheer luckiness. She was scheduled to be euthanized at a local shelter - but when staff went in her pen to get her for that ultimate fate, they discovered she had just had 5 puppies! Macy and the pups were taken in by HSOC. The pups have since been weaned and adopted and Macy's embarking on her new life - first stop, Camp Canine! When she’s done with her 8-10 weeks of training, she'll be an AKC Good Citizen, who knows basic commands (sit, stay, down) and other skills she'll need to interact in public with humans other than her own and other dogs.
