Age: 2 yrs old

Good with dogs: yes

Good with cats: unknown

Good with kids: unknown but likely yes

Weight: 57 lbs

Name/Nicknames: Fresno

My Story: Fresno was found in the city of Brooklyn Park and was impounded. After waiting 1 ½ months for someone to take him home, he was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. No one at the shelter thought he should be put down because of how sweet he is so they contacted rescue agencies to save him. Now Fresno is still waiting for a home to call his own!

Hobbies: Playing (tug of war is a favorite), snuggling, following you around.

Commands/Tricks: Sit, stay, come, working on lay down

Crate / Potty Trained:100% crate and house trained

Activity Level: Low to Medium. Fresno can get pretty hyper, however he does not require much exercise to tire him out.

Fun things I do: I love to be wherever my owner is, even if they get up for a second, I will follow. I also love to lay down right next to, or on, my owner when they lay down. I love to meet new people and show them how great I am, people often tell me how sweet I am after we meet. My favorite place in the whole house is the bathroom, so you better shut the door if you don’t want me peeping in your shower!

Socialization/who I currently live with: Fresno currently lives with a 65lb Pit-bull/Lab mix, and an adult male and female. He and the Pit-bull mix LOVE to play! Fresno likes to play with all dogs and will try to get them to play as often as he can. He is also submissive when it comes to meeting other dogs. If they attack him or growl at him he will ignore them or roll over on his back, we have never heard him growl at another dog or human. He also gets along with any human who approaches him and loves the attention!

My Ideal Family:Fresno would do great in any house that has people in it! A house with small children would not be ideal because of his strong tail. When he gets excited and wags his tail it is whip-like and may hurt small children. Fresno would probably love a house with other medium/ large dogs in it to play with, but would do fine being the only dog getting all the attention! It would be difficult for him to live in a house with small dogs because he is much bigger and stronger so when he plays with them it may scare them.

Fresno is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
