We are having fun caring for babies this summer. This puppy and kitten program invites all the kids at Echo Glen to have a little baby therapy. Nothing is as uplifting as watching a batch of little kittens playing around. These kittens will be available to go to their new homes early August, however, we are taking reservations now. We will have some play date with the kittens and pups to help socialize them plus they are getting a lot of love from all the kids so we expect them to be very social. Echo Glen Children's Center is a youth correctional facility located approximately 40 minutes east of Seattle. Canine Connections is a program that pairs the at-risk youth at Echo Glen with dogs that have not yet found successful placements. In this program the youth are taught how to train the dogs in basic obedience through a reward based system. At the end of its training each dog will complete the AKC Canine Good Citizen and basic Obedience Test.
