Rory Chihuahua & Yorkshire Terrier Mix Barrington, IL

Hello. My name is Rory. I can’t wait to meet you. I am a very happy girl and I am full of energy. I am right around 1 1/2 years old. I have been told that I am an adorable little 6 pound Chihuahua mix. I look like a Chihuahua but I have a longer wiry coat. They think I’m part Yorkie. I wake up in the morning ready to snuggle. Then I am ready to play. My foster mom and dad say I love to run so much that I am making my own racetrack in their small enclosed yard. But after a hard day of work and play I love to relax on the couch. I sleep in my crate at night but I love even more when I get to fall asleep on the bed by my foster dad’s shoulders. I do fine when my foster parents are at work for a full day, although I would love to be adopted by someone who can spend more time with me. I love one-on-one time. Playing catch and hide-and-seek are my favorite games. I get the feeling that the Chihuahua I live with is wanting me to find my forever home. We play together all the time. We play tug of war and steal each others toys. I love to go on walks. Exploring new things is great fun. I am not your ordinary carrier dog. I want to use my legs. I am learning to walk on a leash but I use a harness since I don’t really love having a collar on. I am in classes to learn to listen. I have learned to sit, and am starting to come when called. I chase a ball better then some big dogs I have played with. I am curious about the cat I live with but the cat is scared of me, little, tiny me. Silly cat. My foster mom says I have a great crooked smile. I love having my belly tickled. I love to be where the action is. My foster folks say I’m a very good girl. I don’t run away I just don’t want to be left behind. I ride great in the car. I even am well behaved in hotel rooms. I would love to become part of your family.
