Meet Nellie
Nellie and Darby are sisters. Sadly they were abandoned together. Both are a little shy, but do warm up to people they don't know. I stop by to visit our shelter cats weekly. During this time I've made friends with both these sweet little girls. In a perfect world we would like to find a home they could be adopted together. They are both very affectionate. Nellie has beautiful green eyes. She also has a small (almost unnoticeable) smudge on the top of her head and a cute little black mark on her nose. Darby also has beautiful green eyes. As you can see in her pictures her tear ducts are clogged, so her tears drain under her eyes. I've found cleaning under her eyes daily helps keep the discoloration under control and I'm sure it is much more comfortable for her since this condition could create an irritation to her skin if left unattended. Because I very gently clean Darby's face she doesn't oppose to this routine. It might actually seem like affection to her. Neither cats have been tested with children or dogs, but they do get along with other cats. They have both tested negative for FIV and Feline Luk.
For more information about beginning the adoption process please send a request to CompanionCats@yahoo.com (269-753-5594) for an application or click here to complete our on-line application. Please understand, Companion Cats is made up of volunteers. Arrangements will need to be made to view our adoptable cats and kittens in person. We will need to coordinate with the foster care provider's busy schedule and your schedule as well. Our adoption fee is $50.00.
Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue cat.

Where do donations go? Donations give us the opportunity to spay/neuter and vaccinate more rescue cats and kittens. Stopping overpopulation is the key to ending the suffering of abandon homeless pets. (Donations are tax deductible in the state of Michigan.)
