*Bambie Beagle & Hound Mix Morehead, KY

8/4/11: Bambi is in foster care and doing great. Her back end and hind legs are getting stronger. She and her BFF Candi play together and wrestle around all
the time, and in the past week she has started running around the
yard. She has such a sweet, loving disposition and would be such a
great companion.
7/14/11: Bambi had her pin removed today and is walking around pretty well. She is such a sweet girl that just wants to blend in and not be a problem to anyone. We noticed her ears are causing her some problems, so the vet started her on some antibiotics and ear drops for an infection. Photos one and two were taken 7/15/11. Photo three was taken at Pound in February.

4.20.11 update: Bambi's leg was penned today after being hit by a car the evening she escaped foster's pen. Also her other rear leg was out of socket and currently taped to be help in place.

4.17.11 Bambie escaped her foster home and is lost on Rt 60 East in Morehead. Please call 606-462-0375 if you spot her. Thank you --- she may be with another hound and a little white dog. She is spayed and has stitches. Please help.

Hungry stray found refuge on a family's porch during a very cold winter night. She is now at Pound and scared and hoping someone will love her. She weighs about 35# and is about 2 years old. Bambi is happy to greet visitors and loves to play with her pals. She is a really sweet quiet hound and would make a wonderful family pet.



Dogs in the Rowan County K-9 Shelter receive their first dhppl vaccination (parvo/distemper) upon arrival at the pound. Rabies vaccine and spay/neuter surgery can be done for the $50 adoption fee. Please note rabies vaccine and surgeries are NOT done on site and dogs must be adopted before they receive rabies vaccine or surgery.
