Looey - ADOPTED Maine Coon Las Vegas, NV

Looey is a 1 – 3 year old male Maine Coon, who weighs about 13.7 pounds. Looey is a little camera shy, and puts his head down for photos, but he has beautiful sparkly blue eyes. This very handsome and friendly boy is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, secure and reassured after previous neglect. Looey will come on command when he trusts you…or when he hears your kind voice calling out….even if it’s to another cat. He may need a little extra TLC at first, to get to know a new face & mannerisms, since he was very scared and had painful matting all over his body when he came to FUPI. Looey was shaved and has since learned to enjoy being brushed & pet by his foster mom, however he seriosuly does not like the Groomer & should never be “scruffed"..it terrifies him. So he needs to be brushed regularly to keep his beautiful coat matt-free and healthy. He should be with someone who understands cat behavior. He can be a little nervous from past neglect and needs to be reassured and treated gently…no rough play or aggressiveness or holding him against his will. He is sure to bring you lots of love, joy & laughter, once he adjusts and learns to trust you. Looey needs to be in a calm, nurturing home without children. He is not an alpha male, so he can either be the only pet or can live with another friendly, non-threatening cat. Not sure about dogs. He has not tried to sleep on the bed with his foster mom yet, since there are other cats that do, so we don’t know if that’s something he normally does, or not. But he does often sleep in one of his two cat beds or on the carpet…usually under the protection of furniture, where he’s not worried about being stepped on. His current bed can go with him to his new home. Looey is neutered, current on his vaccinations and tested for feline diseases.
