Meet Lucas

Lucas here. I was finally able to trust some nice ladies in the neighborhood where I was roaming for two years. They brought me here. I am a bit shy with some people, but the nice volunteers here are teaching me to trust more. I know "sit" and take treats like a gentleman. I walk well on a leash. Probably because I was rescued by such nice ladies, I am more trusting of women than men, although there are some guys around here I really like! I need a loving home so I can continue working on building my confidence and trust in people. Once I love you, I am devoted to you! I have been here a long time, and even though I like the people here a lot, I really need and deserve a home and people to call my own. I just need a chance to show you what a good dog I am! Lucas needs to be an indoor dog so he will learn how to be part of the family. The folks here are pretty sure I am housebroken, although I may need time to adjust in my new home.
