Meet Alvin

Alvin is a Netherland Dwarf, weighing in at a walloping 2-½ lbs. Alvin is a sweet and friendly little bun who absolutely craves being held and snuggled. We're not sure of his exact age, but he appears to be a mature adult with some white 'chinny whiskers' that give him dignity.

Even though he's an older bun, his mobility is excellent. Dr. Harvey, a well-known rabbit specialist in Castro Valley, found a couple of minor tooth points which she filed down. She doesn't think he'll have recurring teeth problems, but recommends having his teeth rechecked in about 6 months. His head has a slight tilt to it. Dr. Harvey examined him twice over a two-week period, and doesn't feel there is any cause for alarm. One thing he doesn't seem to have any interest in, though, is learning Litterbox 101, so his new family will need to be patient with him!

Alvin is an adorable little guy with fluffy black fur and large brown eyes. He has an inquisitive gaze, a great disposition and overall engaging personality. Come meet this cute little guy! For more information about Alvin, email Anne. Alvin can be seen at our monthly event or by appointment!!

Alvin is a rescue with Harvest Home Animal Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a nonprofit which aids homeless and abused animals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Harvest Home is the official sanctuary of the House Rabbit Society.

Note: We only adopt to indoor homes. Your rabbit should be
treated as an integral part of the family. No outdoor hutches. With good care
and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 8-12 years old. We expect you to make
a lifetime commitment to your rabbit(s). The primary caregiver must be a responsible
adult.
