Sweet little Buffy is a darling little angel.  Here is her story:

Buffy was picked up by Animal Control and brought into the city shelter. The shelter placed her on the Euthanasia List and deemed her unsalvageable – and yes, it’s true she was in a very sad and sorry state. When I went to visit the shelter and spotted Buffy, she was huddled in the corner of the kennel, limp and lifeless. She was so filthy and matted, we couldn’t tell her, age, sex, or breed; I quietly approached her and knelt down beside her and offered her my hand to sniff. She slowly sniffed and then started wagging her tail and giving me kisses. Well, that was all it took – I wrapped her in a towel and we were out of there!

Next stop, the groomers. CCHS has a wonderful Den of Angels at the MUTT PUDDLE in McKinney, who takes care of our Fur Foster Babies with gentle, loving care. Buffy was full of fleas, ticks, matts, dirt, twigs, stickers and burrs from head to foot. They pampered her like a Princess and handed her back to me several hours later, as pretty as a peach J

After that, we did an assessment; discovered, Buffy is young girl and as cute as a bug’s ear. Buffy is a sweet, gentle, calm quiet little soul. She seems to understand what I am doing for her and is forever grateful and loyal and always by my side. All she wants from this world is to love and be loved. She wants to be by her people all the time and just loves getting luvin! Buffy is great with other dogs of any size and does not have any problems with the cat! She does not have an aggressive bone in her body! She is good in a crate as well. She loves to chew on toys and does not seem interested in things that are not made for doggies to chew on! Buffy is also a good leash walker and loves to take walks with her foster siblings!

Buffy has had to be shorn to the skin; however, it will grow back into a cute fluffy do in no time. Her hair is already coming in nice and curly and shiny :) She has tear stains right now under her eyes. Putting her on a good food and some hair growth/grooming should be able to make those go away pretty quickly. This is just another issue that came with her lack of grooming and care! Also, there is something called 'Angel Eyes' that you can add to her water that will help the tear stains disapear.

What never fails to astound me, is the capacity these rescues still have to love and to trust after the suffering they have endured. This little girl sits on my lap for hours on end wanting nothing more than for me to hold her. She craves attention. Her heart is as big as Texas. All I ask is that she spend the rest of her days receiving the affection she so deserves J She is good with all other animals!
