Candy Retriever Mix Monticello, MN

Candy came into rescue so shy and scared but after 2 weeks of love and care in her foster home she has turned into the biggest love sponge you'll ever meet! Candy loves to snuggle, loves to be pet, and absolutely hands down adores her foster family. She was rescued after the Hurricane and came to Minnesota to try her luck at a home here. We can see why those who rescued her down south loved her because she is wonderful! She is working very hard on her housetraining and with a schedule and a crate she is accident free at her foster home. She loves to learn and please her people. Candy is a little unsure in the house at times (with stairs, tile floor) but give her 5 minutes, a little encouragement, and a treat and she acts like she's been there her whole life! Candy is good with visiting kids but used to an older child/ adult home. She is moderately active, likes her walks but equally enjoys to snuggle on the couch with her owners. For obvious reasons, all animals adopted from Homeward Bound MUST live indoors only. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for heartworm and lyme disease.
