Meet Coco - Adopted

Arrival story: Pulled from a overcrowded northern shelter.

Approximate age / weight:She is 7 months and about 34 pounds.

Personality: Coco is a very sweet girl. She is affectionate and loves people, especially the ones who give her belly rubs! Coco is still a pup with lots of energy, and considering her breed, she may always have a good amount of energy.

She is very good with her foster mom's children, who are 2 and 4 years old, keeping in mind that these children know how to treat and respect a dog. She does love to chew but has not chewed on the furniture or any home decor; toys (including the kid's) are another story.
While most dogs go for a walk, Coco goes for a prance, and while prancing down the street, she likes to meet and greet everyone along the way!
Coco does jump on people when first greeting them. We are working on letting her know that is unacceptable. She will also need some leash work. She is easily distracted by the birds and furry creatures that she encounters on her prances and will pull. She is better with a leash attached to a harness than a collar.

She is housebroken and crate trained. She does resist going in her crate but settles down nicely when in it.

Forever home: Coco would do best in an active household that would help burn off some of her energy. Coco doesn't seem interested in cats, so she will probably do well in a home with them.Contact:Mary at caninecrazee@aol.com with any questions. Pre-Adoption Application: To be considered for a dog, it is best to submit a pre-adoption application. The Pre-Adoption Application can be downloaded from our website - http://www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoptionprocess.html.
