Sweet Pea

Breed: Miniature Schnauzer
Gender: Female, spayed
DOB: ~ 9-17-2007
Weight: ~ 15 pounds
Microchipped
Adoption Fee: $150

Sweet Pea was returned to HEART after many years of companionship because her adopter had to enter assisted living and could no longer provide care. During her years in her previous home she enjoyed a quiet environment and doting care. She is housebroken and has begun to come out of her shell a bit.

We'd like to see a more active home for Sweet Pea that will begin taking her for walks on area Greenways and trails, teach her some of her basic commands and encourage her to be more social. She is reserved at times right now, but can be a wild and crazy girl in her foster home, too! With gentle encouragement and time, she will be even more delightful than she already is!

All HEART dogs have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies, distemper, parvo, adenovirus, and hepatitus. Some have been vaccinated for Bordatella. All are tested for heartworms and, if they test positive, have either been treated or provided alternative slow-kill treatment. Dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs.
